Unplugged dance is having its first open call, and we couldn’t be more excited about it!

Where: Neochori, Lefkada, Greece

When: One week, during 22nd of August to 11th of September, the week will be determined in mutual consultation

We are currently looking for dance artists, researchers or educators in the field of dance and other practices of embodiment that are interested in sharing a workshop in our new space.

Unplugged dance is a newborn dance platform that focuses on research and education, based in the village of Neochori, Lefkada. The artist lead initiative was inspired by Kyveli Kouvatsi and Giorgos Sioras Deligiannis in research of the present independent dance scene, its ways and methods, its interests and togethernesses. Their own quest in research and education made even more important and vivid the need to connect with similar individuals that pursue a way of doing what they do with care and with the intention of sharing and communicating it. The arterial idea of Unplugged Dance has sprung from a yearning to connect dance as a practice of embodiment and other relative practices with a vivid community, in a sustainable and decentralized way that preserves the independent nature of the enterprise.

The upcoming summer Unplugged Dance will host three weeks of workshops and classes among other activities in the serene village of Neochori in Lefkada, Greece. During a full week of workshops the participants will have the chance to deepen their knowledge in contemporary practices that subjectify the corporal experience and yet are specific in method.

This first open call is seeking original workshops that emerge from personal research and are linked with practices of embodiment. Candidates must have a research of their own to share, one that leads to a specific method, methodology or simply a way of doing what they do. No special degrees are required nor years of experience, yet they will be asked to share relative material online in any way they prefer and share it through a google drive folder. If the proposed workshop has never been presented before, a more analytical presentation would be appreciated.

Conditions:
Leading a workshop in english in two seperate groups for six days (a total of 24 hours)
Fee of 960 euro (cost for invoice payment only)
Room to stay in the village
Three meals per day for seven days
For foreign teachers, a part of their travel expenses can be paid after arrangement

Teatrul Național “I.L. Caragiale” din București, prin Centrul de Cercetare și Creație Teatrală “Ion Sava”, lansează a VIII-a ediție a programului 9G la TNB (Noua Generație) cu un nou Regulament de desfășurare, mult mai ofertant pentru tinerii artiști. Documentul poate fi descărcat de aici.

Programul 9G a fost lansat în ianuarie 2014 și se adresează tinerilor creatori de teatru, absolvenți ai facultăților de profil, cu vârsta de până în 35 de ani, neangajați în instituții de spectacol. Până în prezent au fost selectate 26 de proiecte, 19 dintre ele fiind spectacole incluse în repertoriul TNB. Programul 9G la TNB se desfășoară la Sala Mică, spațiu destinat exclusiv tinerilor artiști.

Condiții de participare în Programul 9G la TNB:
–  Echipa care propune proiectul trebuie să fie formată din artişti independenţi, absolvenţi ai facultăţilor de profil, cu vârsta maximă de 35 de ani.
– Nu există niciun tip de cerință sau de restricție în legătură cu textele înscrise (dramaturgie clasică și contemporană) sau cu genul de estetică propusă, dar constituie un avantaj conceptul de spectacol care mizează în special pe arta actorului.

Propunerile de proiect vor fi trimise în format digital și vor cuprinde:
– Conceptul regizoral al spectacolului (maxim 2 pag.)
– Piesa / Dramatizarea / Scenariu dramaturgic în limba română
– Distribuția, CV-ul membrilor echipei. (Pot fi adăugate linkuri cu înregistrări ale spectacolelor la care au mai lucrat membrii echipei sau pot fi trimise prin transfer spectacole înregistrate)
– Schițe de decor (pentru Sala Mică în configurația de scenă italiană – schițele sunt atașate)
– Schițe de costume
– Schițe de machiaj (unde este necesar)
– Deviz estimativ
– Necesitățile tehnice ale proiectului
* în anumite condiții, echipa de selecție a C.C.C.T. „Ion Sava” își rezervă dreptul de a solicita și textul în limba originală, iar aplicanții au obligația de a-l pune la dispoziție în 48 de ore.
– Durata spectacolului nu trebuie să depășească 2 h. 

Important: Înscrierea proiectelor se face începând cu data de 13 ianuarie, până la data de 15 februarie 2022, în format digital la adresa de email ccct9gtnb@gmail.com, urmând ca în data de 5 martie să fie anunțate titlurile și echipele care au rămas pe lista finală. În urma unor discuții cu echipele, se vor decide titlurile selectate spre a începe repetițiile în cadrul Programului 9G (conform regulamentului atașat).

PRODUCTION COORDINATOR

As part of a collaborative and growing network dedicated to supporting emerging screenwriters from all over the world, this is an opportunity to contribute to the continued development of our activities. In 2022, Pustnik will be expanding and will host its regular yearly residency for new participants, plus two residencies dedicated to alumni, masterclasses, screenings and more.

ROLE – This is a paid part-time project-based position; – You will work directly with the project manager and occasionally with the curators; – You will manage our correspondence with applicants, residents, guests and partners; – You will prepare and coordinate residency logistics (accommodation, transport, schedules, prints etc.); – You will help with on-site activities during the residencies (setting up panels, masterclasses, screenings, educational workshops etc.); – You will assist the project manager with funding applications, bookkeeping and reports, as well as identifying new funding opportunities.

PROFILE & BACKGROUND: – You are ideally Bucharest-based; – You are knowledgeable and passionate about cinema and have an understanding of how the film industry works; – You have a great command of written and spoken English; – You are good with a flexible schedule, but also with respecting deadlines; – It’s a plus if you are somewhat familiar with public funding such as AFCN and handling paperwork for an NGO, or willing to learn more about this.
