I’m a composer working in the contemporary form seeking a collaborative exchange with dancers and choreographers for my new work ‘MOVING MUSIC’.

The piece aims to combine multiple choreographed interpretations of short pieces into a single large-form video work. I will provide the music in exchange for a video of the dance performance which will then be encorporated into the final audio visual work.

Our theatre is technically and spatially well suited for the creation of dance works. We see it as our privilege and obligation to provide these spaces to independent artists or other established companies from Slovakia and abroad.

We want to connect with artists and support their development in the field of contemporary dance and physical theatre.

That is why we are coming up with the next edition of the Artistic Residency Programme at Divadlo Štúdio tanca 2024. After two successful cycles of artistic residencies, we are once again offering an adequate professional space for the work of artists in the field of contemporary dance. The residency programme is designed to cover different stages of the creative process and artistic approach. 

Choose the sub-program that best suits the needs of your project.  

We provide individuals, companies or other projects with adequate working conditions as well as the professional support needed to cultivate their own creative work. Open call is open to dancers and performers, but also to ancillary professions in the field (production, lighting design, sound, management, etc.).

Applications for residencies will be assessed by the DŠT dramaturgical board and, if necessary, will also be consulted with other experts and colleagues. 

The condition for participation in the residency is a public output from the creative process and the minimum length of the residency is 14 days.

The public output can take the form of a work-in-progress presentation, video documentation, photographic documentation, workshop, discussion or any publicly accessible form.

a Dance Mag – Call for Contributors. Issue 5: Flow

This issue of a Dance Mag is an invitation to explore states of Flow. How often do we find ourselves in a state of „Flow” when we dance? What obstacles hinder our access to this state? Do states of „Flow” experienced in dance extend to other areas and aspects of life? How does the regular experience of „Flow” impact our personalities, routines, relationships with others, and overall outlook on life? 

Note: The fact that the Structure and the Flow themes are published simultaneously does not suggest an opposition. They can be complementary and interconnected.

Submissions Material

  1. Please send an Expression of Interest with a synopsis of your story to editorial@adancemag.com with the subject line: Submission to “Flow” by December 25, 2023.
  2. A full draft of your story will be expected by January 25, 2024.
  3. Along with a 30 to 40 words biography line.
  4. If available, please include two to three accompanying images that you hold the rights to, in any resolution.

Guidelines:

  1. A Dance Mag welcomes short and long (600 to 4000 words) of creative nonfiction relevant to the theme, this may include research, personal, ekphrastic or lyrical essays, feature articles, reportage, experiential reviews, conversations, interviews, and travel writings. 
  2. A Dance Mag privileges storytelling and experiential writing.
  3. The language of the publication is English (American style).
  4. A Dance Mag publishes original work. However, it may republish writings originally published in a language other than English.
  5. A Dance Mag retains exclusive publication rights for six months following the issue release. If republished elsewhere we appreciate mentioning that the piece was originally published in a Dance Mag. 
  6. Submissions are free of charge, and given the independent nature of the magazine, contributions cannot be compensated. All sales revenue goes to the production of the next issue of the magazine. Selected contributors will receive a copy of the magazine upon publication.
  7. Selected submissions will receive notification within 45 days. The editorial board operates on a volunteer basis, so we apologize for not being able to answer all emails. 
  8. Selected submissions may undergo a lengthy editing process that requires contributors’ engagement and timely responses.

Your tasks

  • Develop and deliver innovative Graphic design for brand projects and campaigns across the digital (web site, social media, email marketing…) and printed spectrum (brochures, guides….). That includes from briefing through to execution and delivery 
  • Create a consistent brand and customer journey from digital to printed. Further develop our existing branding and be the guardian across all channels.

“Challenges” – International Exhibition & Social Media Project

CICA Museum invites artists worldwide to participate in the International Exhibition & Social Media Project, “Challenges.” We are open to artists who actively utilize social media as a form of art and experiments. The artist will collaborate with the CICA Museum to create 3 short-form and 3 long-form social media video contents. Up to 3 artworks and the social media contents will be exhibited in the international exhibition “Challenges.” Selective social media contents will be posted on the CICA Museum social media.

We will provide projectors and DVD/DIVX players for the show. Multiple single-channel works will be screened through a projector. The artist may bring his/her device to install the work. In this case, please refer to the Installation Art guidelines below.

The artist is responsible for the shipment and delivery of his/her physical work to and from CICA Museum, as well as all related expenses. The two-dimensional work should be no larger than 39 inch (1 m) on the longest side, and the installation piece should be no larger than 39x39x79 inches (1 x 1 x 2 m, w x l x h). The work that needs to be mounted on the wall should not exceed 10 kg. Please indicate in the submission email if you are interested in exhibiting works exceeding the size/weight limit.

Cum să faci un spectacol în 24 de ore?

24 Hours Puppet’s Play – este un concept unic prin care poți realiza un spectacol de animație în 24 de ore. 

Cum funcționează?


Tot ce trebuie să faci este să trimiți un email la contact@ciaa.ro, în care să ne spui că vrei să participi. Te rugăm să anexezi CV-ul și să ne lași datele de contact. Simplu.

După finalizarea aplicațiilor, toți participanții se întâlnesc la sediul CIAA (Str. Orzari nr.10), pentru stabilirea echipelor de lucru.
Echipele sunt alcătuite prin tragere la sorți, iar după stabilirea acestora, fiecare echipă primește o temă de la care pornește în crearea spectacolului.

De aici, ceasul începe să curgă. Ai 24 de ore la dispoziție pentru realizarea unui spectacol de teatru de animație.
Fiecare echipă este liberă să aleagă mijloacele de expresie, tipurile de păpuși, stilurile de mânuire, mijloacele new media.

Prezentarea spectacolului va avea loc pe data de 23 noiembrie, de la ora 18:00, la Centrul Independent pentru Arta Animației.

Durata spectacolului trebuie să fie între 15 și 20 de minute.

Spectacolul câștigător, ales de către un juriu format din profesioniști din domeniul teatral, primește finanțare pentru realizarea lui și va intra în stagiunea Centrului Independent pentru Arta Animației.

Criterii de eligibilitate :


Se pot înscrie actori-păpușari profesioniști, studenți ai facultăților de profil, regizori și actori care vor să experimenteze teatrul de animație.

Apel de Proiecte pentru Bursele NAC

Miercuri, 8 noiembrie 2023, orele 11:00, la Goethe Institut București și online, Galeria Galateca și Asociația culturală Neo Art Connect, lansează noul Apelul de Proiecte pentru Bursele NAC și programul de mentorat destinate tinerilor artiști, în cadrul celei de a doua ediții ale Anualei de Artă și Știință, Neo Art CONNECT (NAC) platformă națională, rețea și anuală de artă și știință,(NAC) 2024, susținut de BRD Groupe Société Générale,
Tema acestei ediții este Changing Environments și unul dintre cele mai importante elemente de noutate este dezvoltarea parteneriatelor internaționale, pentru a oferi tinerilor artiști șanse în plus de cooperare și învățare, cel mai important fiind cu Ars Electronica.
Astfel, președintele juriului Apelului de proiecte pentru Bursele NAC 2024, Christl Baur, Directoarea Festivalului Ars electronica din Austria, împreună cu membrii juriului: Horea Avram , istoric de artă și curator, Mihai Zgondoiu, artist și curator, Anca Boeriu, artist și profesor și Andreea Sandu, manager cultural, inițiator NAC, vor acorda cele cinci burse în valoare de cinci mii de euro.

În cadrul evenimentului de lansare va fi dezvăluit conținutul noului program dedicat tinerilor pe www.neoartconnect.ro , cu două schimbări semnificative, creșterea valorii individuale a bursei, respectiv 1000 de euro, și creșterea vârstei de înscriere, până la 35 de ani, precum și prezentarea câtorva dintre partenerii importanți ai NAC 2024, universități și institute de prestigiu.

Perioada de depunere a aplicațiilor este 8 noiembrie – 30 decembrie 2023, iar anunțul câștigătorilor este planificat pentru 30 ianuarie 2024.

Programul ce oferă șansa tinerei generații de a beneficia de burse, programe de mentorat și expunere în cadrul primei platforme de artă și știință națională se află la a doua ediție, cele cinci proiecte câștigătoare ale burselor oferite în cadrul ediției pilot Neo Art CONNECT împreună cu BRD Groupe Société Générale, desfășurată în toamna anului 2022 și primăvara anului 2023 au fost: EDGES creat de RIH Working Collective (Nițu-Săraru Andrei, Șerban Camelia, Stanciu Crina Alexandra), Gazing (in)through creat de Entity ( Miruna Croitoru, Nicoleta Ivan, Cosmin Stancu), Striking Network of Uncertain Pixels de Mihai Toth, reGânditorul de Andrei Lazăr și Proiectul P de Daria Langa, reunite în expoziția Reconectare curatoriată la Galateca de Anca Boeriu și Andreea Sandu.

Concurs de proză scurtă

Cod de Poveste anunță lansarea celui de-al doilea concurs de proză scurtă cu premii. De această dată sub tematica Povestiri contemporane vesele vor fi premiate și publicate pe platformă textele cu umor.

Satiră, umor macabru, umor de situație sau de limbaj, ironia diabolică, fină sau naivă, povești surprinzător de amuzante, umor intelectual sau glume de autobază care conturează personaje memorabile. Subiectele sunt la alegere, important este doar registrul în care vor fi tratate.

Înscrierile se pot face până pe data de 22 decembrie 2023 la coddepoveste@gmail.com.

Regulamentul concursului:

1. Se acceptă doar fișiere format .doc sau .docx

2. Limită de semne: între 6000 și 15.000 de semne (cu tot cu spații)

3. Spațiere la 2 rânduri, mărime font 12

4. O singură înscriere per autor

5. Numele autorului nu trebuie inclus în numele fișierul sau în corpul povestirii. Textele vor fi jurizate anonime.

6. Povestirea nu a mai fost publicată anterior

7. Câștigătorii vor fi anunțați pe data de 24 ianuarie

8. Numele povestirii trebuie să fie pus și în numele fișierului înscris în concurs

Premii:

Se va acorda un singur premiu în bani, numit și Marele Premiu, pentru că este probabil cel mai mare premiu în bani care se acordă în România la un concurs de proză scurtă. Valoarea lui este de 2500 de lei.

Un număr de minimum 12 povestiri vor fi selectate pentru publicare pe platforma cod de poveste.

Dragi tineri actori și actrițe,

Sunteți pasionați de teatru și doriți să vă alăturați unei producții captivante? Teatrul “George Ciprian” vă invită la castingul pentru adaptarea noastră specială a celebrului roman „Aventurile lui Habarnam și ale prietenilor săi” de Nikolai Nosov, în adaptarea scenică și regia lui Cristian Negoescu.

Vă căutăm pe voi, elevii din clasele a IX-a și a X-a, pentru a da viață personajelor din acest univers fantastic!

Despre Piesă: „Habarnam” este o poveste magică plină de aventură, prietenie și descoperiri neașteptate. Acest clasic al literaturii pentru copii ne poartă într-o lume plină de personaje memorabile. Vrem să aducem această lume fascinantă pe scenă și avem nevoie de voi pentru a face acest lucru posibil!

Ce căutăm:

Elevi pasionați de teatru din clasele a IX-a și a X-a.

Nu este necesară experiența anterioară în teatru, dar entuziasmul și dedicarea sunt esențiale.

Dorința de a învăța și de a colabora într-un mediu creativ.

Disponibilitate pentru repetiții regulate.

Ce să aduceți la casting:

• O scurtă prezentare a voastră.

• Un monolog scurt, o poezie sau un fragment de text ales din orice sursă (poate fi și din „Habarnam” dacă doriți).

De asemenea, participanții trebuie să cunoască personaje și întâmplări din “Aventurile lui Habarnam”, pentru a putea deschide drumul spre această colaborare.

Dacă există preferințe pentru un anumit personaj, vor avea loc discuții la casting, în funcție de opțiunile fiecăruia.

• O atitudine pozitivă și deschidere către improvizație.

Castingul este pentru rolurile:

• Prietenii lui Habarnam – 5 băieți și 2 fete (cu posibilitate de adaptare în funcție de proba dată)

• Pirații de timp – 5 personaje (fete și băieți în funcție de proba susținută)

Repetițiile vor avea loc de două-trei ori pe săptămână, iar spectacolul va fi prezentat în fața familiei, prietenilor și a comunității noastre. Această experiență va fi o oportunitate minunată de a vă dezvolta abilitățile actoricești și de a vă bucura de procesul creativ.

Castingul va avea loc în zilele de 11.11, începând cu ora 10:00 și 12.11., începând cu ora 11.00, la sediul teatrului.

Workshopuri – MetaCognitive @ unatc

Proiectul MetaCognitive@UNATC este primul proiect din învățământul cultural-artistic din România care își propune să măsoare și antreneze nivelul de conștientizare al artiștilor în relație cu propria lor metodă. Proiectul își propune sondarea activității artistice și de învățare pe diferite dimensiuni de conștientizare și ulterior antrenarea acestora prin 3 module de câte 3 workshop-uri. Primele două module se vor desfășura cu câte un trainer/ workshop. Al treilea modul este conceput ca o dezbatere deschisă între doi dintre trainerii proiectului. Trainerii provin din trei domenii diferite: medicină, filosofie și management.

Casting scurtmetraj

Pentru un proiect de scurtmetraj care este scris și va fi regizat de Vlad Petri (cel mai recent lungmetraj al său este Între Revoluții) căutăm studente de etnie romă pentru cele două personaje principale: Florica si Mândra. Vârstele personajelor sunt între 18 și 45 ani.

Încurajez să aplice inclusiv studentele an I (filmările vor avea loc în mai 2024), iar filmul este produs de Manifest Film.

Filmul „Autogara” repune în discuție o întâmplare prin care a trecut o femeie de etnie romă (Florica), căreia nu i s-a permis accesul într-un microbuz în autogara din Zalău pe motive de apartenență etnică și a fost și agresată de șoferul microbuzului. Singura femeie care a ajutat-o pe Florica a fost tot o femeie de etnie romă (Mândra), în timp ce alți pasageri și trecători au privit impasibili la întreaga acțiune. Ne dorim prin acest film să punem în lumină temele discriminării și a indiferenței în fața abuzurilor, care există din păcate pe deplin în societatea noastră.
