Dacă ai o lucrare care (ne) mișcă și vrei ca spectacolul tău să fie văzut de profesioniști ai domeniului și reprezentanți ai celor mai importante rețele internaționale și naționale de dans, atunci aplică!

Centrul Național al Dansului București lansează un open call în cadrul proiectului Dans.Context.Showcase și se adresează artiștilor care activează în domeniul dansului contemporan și absolvenților studiilor masterale de specialitate. Proiectul își propune prezentarea creației coregrafice a ultimilor ani, a scenei de dans românești, cât și consolidarea unei rețele naționale de festivaluri de dans și de instituții de artele spectacolelor din România care promovează dansul contemporan, tocmai pentru a dezvolta oportunitățile de difuzare a spectacolelor de dans.

Susținem ideile curajoase și demersurile artistice cu caracter inovator, încurajăm diversitatea discursurilor coregrafice, formelor estetice și a formatelor de prezentare (spectacole/ performance-uri create pentru black box sau în spații alternative, spații publice, galerii, one-on-one, instalații performative ș.a).

Deadline aplicații: 20 ianuarie 2025.

Lucrările/ spectacolele selecționate vor fi anunțate pe 25 februarie 2025.

Pentru înscriere este necesar să trimiteți:

• un link cu înregistrarea video a lucrării integrale (specificații tehnice: plan general, 16:9, HD și ideal este ca videoul să fie editat minim; nu vor fi luate în considerare trailere);
• un text de maxim o pagină, care să cuprindă descrierea spectacolului, data și locul premierei, unde și când a mai fost prezentat spectacolul, durata, creditele (artiști, producători, parteneri, sponsori etc);
• un video cu autoarea/autorul sau cu colectivul de creatori de maxim 5 minute în care să răspunzi la întrebarea „De ce crezi că spectacolul este relevant în contextul artistic și social actual?”; 
• o biografie artistică a autoarei/autorului sau a colectivului de creatori, din care să reiasă experiența și portofoliul de creații.

Criterii de eligibilitate

• artiștii aplicanți să fie activi în domeniul dansului contemporan/performance;
• sunt luate în considerare spectacole propuse de artiști independenți, de colective artistice, independente sau de instituții publice producătoare, cât și lucrări de masterat; 
• un artist se poate înscrie cu o singură lucrare/un singur spectacol.

Criterii tehnice de selecție

• lucrarea înscrisă să fie produsă în perioada 2021 – 2024, cu o durată de minim 20 min;
• spectacolele trebuie să fie adaptabile spațiilor și resurselor puse de dispoziție de organizatorii showcase-ului* (informații despre caracteristicile  tehnice ale celor două spații găsiți aici). Dacă spectacolele necesită spații alternative (muzee, galerii, parcuri, hale industriale ș.a), organizatorii pot asigura un minim sprijin tehnic;
• echipele artistice și tehnice ale spectacolelor să fie disponibile în perioada 24-27 aprilie 2025. 

Criterii calitative de selecție

• relevanța temei în raport cu realitățile contemporane;
• consistența structurii și a scriiturii compoziționale;
• claritatea viziunii artistice;
• caracterul inovator al lucrării coregrafice;
• noutatea limbajului coregrafic și adecvarea vocabularului de mișcare la propunerea artistică  

Selecția spectacolelor va fi realizată de un juriu format din: Cristina Lilienfeld,  Sandra Mavhima, Mihai Mihalcea, Andreea Novac, Simona Paraschivu, Anna Maria Pop, Elena Zamfirescu. 

Beneficii:

• oportunitatea ca lucrarea ta să fie văzută de reprezentați internaționali și naționali ai instituțiilor, festivalurilor și rețelelor de dans; 
• oportunități de networking cu alți artiști, dar și cu profesioniști ai domeniului (producători de dans, curatori, directori de centre coregrafice și festivaluri etc.)
• remunerația membrilor echipei artistice și tehnice care asigură reprezentația din showcase, în funcție de bugetul disponibil al proiectului (asigurăm onorariile, cheltuielile de transport și cazare, dar nu acoperim costurile de producție a spectacolelor)
• promovarea echipei artistice și a lucrării coregrafice pe rețelele de socializare ale Centrului Național al Dansului București, cât și în publicațiile presă partenere online și offline.

Despre „Dans. Context. Showcase”

Proiectul se va desfășura în București, la Centrul Național al Dansului București și la Linotip – Centru Independent Coregrafic, între 24 și 27 aprilie 2025 și va prezenta o selecție de 10-12 spectacole de dans atât unui public profesionist format din directori de teatre, centre coregrafice, de festivaluri de profil, reprezentanți ai rețelelor europene de dans (Aerowaves, Moving Balkans, EDN – European Dance Development Network), curatori, manageri culturali și producători de dans, cât și publicului larg. Miza proiectului este promovarea producțiilor și co-producțiilor românești de dans contemporan (din București și din alte orașe ale țării) atât la nivel național, cât și la nivel european. 

Artists, coders, designers, musicians, dancers, new circus performers, choreographers, people working at the cutting edge of art and technology, a fabulous opportunity for transdisciplinary collaborative work is about to open up: Bucharest Dance Hack 2025!

In preparation for the event that will take place in Bucharest, capital of Romania, we are announcing an open call for participants. Between April 7-11, 2025, we aim to bring together artists and new media enthusiasts committed to working towards ways of blending the moving human body and technology, into an innovative framework, supported by experienced mentors.

The call for participants goes live on the 29th of November and will be open until the 31st of December 2024, at 23:59 (EET). All you need to do is fill in this application form, upload a CV and a letter of intent (we’re happy to receive this as a video or audio recording), and have a working Google account for easy attachment management. The selection process will last throughout the month of January, and results will be announced by email, by Mid-February 2025.

Bucharest Dance Hack is also striving to be an accessible and inclusive event, so parents intending to travel with children will be accommodated. Applicants with special needs or care

responsibilities are also welcome, and we will do our best to provide the required resources for their attendance. 

Selected participants will receive a fee and per-diems, as well as having their travel expenses reimbursed. However, as part of our commitment to sustainability in the environment, we only accept slow travel plans – no planes! 

Bucharest Dance Hack is the third such event being organized, as part of a larger project, realized as a partnership between TaikaBox (Finland), Central Europe Dance Theatre (Hungary) and Developing Art (Romania) and co-founded by the EU. The first two stages of the EU Dance Hack project took place in Oulu (Finland) in May 2024 and Budapest (Hungary) in November 2024. 

Each of these events have been dedicated to a certain amount of spontaneity in communication and collaboration, and we encourage interested participants to apply with an open mind and an interest in developing new points of contact and methodologies, instead of bringing pre-existing ideas and projects to the table. Bucharest Dance Hack is about coloring outside the lines, experimenting, and finding novel ideas, rather than completing a puzzle. Open call adresat artistelor și artiștilor sub 26 de ani pentru o instalație performativă realizată în contextul aniversării a 45 de ani de Goethe-Institut în România

Pe 26 noiembrie 2024, Goethe-Institut a celebrat 45 de ani de existență în România. Cu această ocazie, lansează un open call adresat artistelor și artiștilor sub 26 de ani, din zona artelor vizuale și/sau performative. Un juriu va selecta cele mai bune 6 propuneri de proiecte care vor face parte dintr-o instalație performativă mai amplă, vernisajul fiind programat pe 3 februarie 2025, la Pavilion Goethe-Institut. Termenul limită pentru depunerea propunerilor este de 5 ianuarie 2025.

Deschis în 1979, Goethe-Institut București a fost primul institut cultural al RFG într-un stat membru al Pactului de la Varșovia, fiind rezultatul unor eforturi diplomatice de aproximativ zece ani. În contextul social și politic al unei țări comuniste, dominate de teama permanentei supravegheri, de imposibilitatea de a prevedea ce urma să se întâmple, de interdicția deplasării dintr-o țară în alta și de pedepsirea emigrării, însăși denumirea de la acea vreme – Casa de Cultură a Republicii Federale Germania / Kulturinstitut der Bundesrepublik Deutschland – a fost obiectul unor negocieri îndelungate.

La 45 de ani de la acel moment fondator și la 35 de ani de la Revoluție ne propunem să construim o punte peste timp și peste generații, prin intermediul unei instalații performative. Care au fost premisele deschiderii unui astfel de institut cultural străin într-un stat comunist, aflat într-o stare de izolare sub dictatura lui Nicolae Ceaușescu? Și cum mai este perceput astăzi Goethe-Institut de către Generația Z, născută și crescută într-o Românie contemporană, marcată de narațiunile globalizării?

În acest sens lansăm un open call adresat artistelor și artiștilor emergenți sub 26 de ani, din zona artelor vizuale și/sau performative, în cadrul căruia le/îi invităm să propună un concept pentru o lucrare vizuală / interdisciplinară / performativă (instalație video / audio, performance filmat, fotografie, colaj, reel-uri pentru canale social media, grafică, pictură etc.) care să exprime modul în care se raportează astăzi la activitatea Goethe-Institut București. Ce știu sau nu știu despre existența și programele Goethe-Institut, în ce măsură acesta reprezintă pentru ei un posibil partener pentru proiecte pe care vor să le dezvolte, ce
programe și proiecte consideră că ar fi necesare într-un astfel de institut cultural străin sau cum ar trebui să se promoveze o astfel de instituție? Sunt doar câteva întrebări din paleta largă a temelor care pot și abordate în acest context.

Cei interesați sunt rugați să transmită până pe 5 ianuarie 2025 (inclusiv) următoarele documente la adresa de mail elena-silvia.stanciu@goethe.de:

• o descriere a conceptului lucrării (în limba engleză) și un mood board
• un scurt CV al artistelor / artiștilor implicați (în limba engleză)
  

Cele mai bune 6 propuneri vor fi selectate în perioada 6 – 12 ianuarie 2025, de către un juriu format din: Anke Doberauer (artistă vizuală și profesoară la Academia de Arte Plastice din München), Cristina Milea (scenografă, artistă vizuală și profesoară la Academia Athanor din Passau), Roxana Lapadat (curatoare, producătoare, performer și cadru didactic asociat la Universitatea de Vest Timișoara).

Proiectele câștigătoare vor fi anunțate în data de 13 ianuarie 2025. Artistele și artiștii selectați vor primi din partea Goethe-Institut un sprijin financiar de 1.100 lei brut / proiect pentru producția lucrărilor.
În perioada de producție (13 – 30 ianuarie 2025) vor avea, de asemenea, posibilitatea de a se consulta cu 2 mentori, respectiv: Vlaicu Golcea (artist audio-vizual multidisciplinar, membru fondator al Teatrului Postnațional Interfonic) și Dilmana Yordanova (artistă interdisciplinară, manager cultural, curatoare și lector universitar).

Cele 6 lucrări vor fi prezentate în cadrul instalației performative ”In the Loop of Cultural Times: 45 Years of Goethe-Institute in Romania” (curatoare, documentare și concept: Roxana Lapadat), la Pavilion Goethe-Institut (Calea Dorobanților 32), în perioada 3 – 10 februarie 2025.

AGORA XR Lab, is TIDF AGORA’s new initiative, a workshop dedicated to XR and new media projects in development. It is designed for emerging storytellers keen to explore new forms of expression in factual and non-factual storytelling and pushing the boundaries of what audiovisual work can be in the digital age. We encourage emerging artists from different career paths and artistic backgrounds to submit their projects for this opportunity. The focus is on projects that bridge the realms of film, digital media, new tech, and performing arts. AGORA XR Lab fosters innovation and collaboration by supporting creative, interdisciplinary partnerships in film, the arts, science, technology, and social impact initiatives.

We are honored to have Vassiliki Khonsari as the lead mentor for this inaugural edition. Khonsari is an award-winning creative producer and writer, and the co-founder of iNK Stories, a New York City-based studio renowned for pioneering storytelling across games, films, XR, and immersive experiences.

What are we looking for?

• We welcome entries from: immersive and new media projects that experiment with innovative formats and emerging technology to tell stories and reflect on fiction, non-fiction and anything in between.This encompasses a diverse array of fields, including immersive storytelling, web experiences, digital art, gaming, audio narratives, physical installations, and artworks utilising AI, XR and other cutting-edge technologies.
• Projects should be either produced or co-produced by a country within the above mentioned regions or contain elements in the story that link them to these regions.
• Projects should have at least two creative members attached (such as creator-creator or creator-producer team) and can be in all stages of development. If selected, up to two participants per project must attend all sessions of the AGORA XR Lab and be able to commit to the full process. We recommend that you apply and attend as a team, which means having the appropriate collaborator before you apply.

The application and additional materials should be submitted in English.

Thessaloniki Pitching Forum: March 9-13, 2025

Thessaloniki Pitching Forum is the co-producing and co-financing platform of the TiDF for creative and TV documentaries, documentaries for children and documentary series. The participants will have the opportunity to discuss their projects, to receive feedback and advice during a two-day lab and prepare for pitching with the help of documentary professionals. Then, they will present their projects to a panel of industry professionals and have one-on-one meetings with financiers, international decision makers and representatives of the international audiovisual sector.

What are we looking for?

• 12 -14 original feature-length documentary projects from Southeastern Europe, Eastern Mediterranean and North Africa that combine artistic ambition and high visual quality. Amongst those 12 -14 projects, docuseries projects can be of shorter length.
• Projects by established as well as emerging directors, who should have directed at least one short film.
• Projects that are either produced or co-produced by a country within these regions or contain elements in the story that link them to these regions.
• Projects that have a producer and a director attached and could be at all stages of development.
• Do you have a documentary that is not from the eligible countries but you think Thessaloniki Pitching Forum is a good launching platform for you? You are welcome to apply. The selection committee will evaluate all submitted projects.

Selection of performances for Opera Prima Festival XXI Rovigo, 11 / 15 June 2025

The call is open to single artists or emerging and independent professional companies that work with professional purposes in the field of contemporary theatre, dance and performing arts.

Deadline: 10th December 2024

PREMISES

The Festival is organized by the Association Festival Opera Prima. Coherently with its history, Opera Prima wants to host and enhance the multiplicity of trends and researches in contemporary theatre.

The Festival also wants to become a bridge between different theatrical generations: in addition to the performances selected by this call, every year there will be four European important theatre/dance/performing artists or groups, that have to invite to the festival an unknown young artist or an unknown young group.

THE OBJECT OF THE CALL

This call for entries is opened to national and international groups or artists that practice experimental theatre or experimentation on scenic languages.

By experimental theatre we mean a work that truly experiments with the dramaturgy (interpreted as scenic composition), the actor, the spectator and the scenic space.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

The call is opened to Italian and international individuals or groups of professional theatre and performing arts, structured in any legal form that allows them to fulfil the administrative and bureaucratic practices necessary to realise their performance.

Only artistic projects that realise experimentation with scenic languages are eligible for selection. Amateur works, drama theater

and performances of entertainment won’t be selected.

The Festival commission selects both original works that have not been yet performed, as well as works that have already debut, but which have not had an adequate circulation and/or visibility. The submitted works must be no longer than 60 minutes.

SUBMISSION

Submissions must include:

• Artistic curriculum of the company or the artist;
• Artistic form and technical rider of the performance;
• Link to the full video of the performance (if the proposal consists of a debut, link to a video of rehearsals). Video material has to be viewed directly online (by a link) and it mustn’t be downloaded (no wetransfer, google drive, etc.).

Each group or individual can submit only one proposal.

The application has to be sent fulfilling the form online at https://forms.gle/P3fwZRyw8z6J2gF4A by 12.00 am on December 10th 2024.

If someone hasn’t got a google account, it is possible to send the material by mail to operaprimafestival@gmail.com.

We do not accept other ways of sending materials.

Participants authorize, pursuant to Law 196/2003 and GDPR – European Regulation no. 2016/679, the processing of personal data and the use of the sent informations for all the purposes related to the announcement.

SELECTION

The selection of the performances is entrusted to the unquestionable judgment of the artistic direction of the Festival.

By submitting their candidacy, participants authorise the use of sent images for the communication and publications related to the initiative

PUBLICATION OF RESULTS

The contact person of the selected projects is going to be contacted by Association Festival Opera Prima once the selection process has been completed. Anyhow, the selected artists/groups’ names are going to be published on the website of the Festival.

CONDITIONS

The selected performances are going to be included in the XXI edition of Festival Opera Prima and are going to be performed from the 11th to the 15th of June 2025.

All expenses and practices concerning the organisation, communication, staff, promotion of the event will be in charge of the Festival.

At each selected company will be paid, after the presentation of an invoice, a fee that has to be agreed and will be guaranteed the possibility of lodging at an affiliated guesthouse (just for the artists and technicians working in the performance).

CALENDAR AND PLACE OF PERFORMANCE

All the performances are going to be realised in Rovigo inside the venues used by the Festival from the 11th to the 15th June 2025. It is possible to realise performances also in unconventional locations and outdoor. The artistic direction can ask the selected company to realise more replies of the performance in the same day.

OBLIGATIONS

Selected candidates commit to:

• support the promotion of FESTIVAL OPERA PRIMA throughout their channels (web site, social, press office…);
• respect Festival praxis regarding set-up times and rules;
• perform the selected work on the agreed day or days.

Participation in the announcement implies full acceptance of this regulation.

The organization reserves the right to decide on issues not expected by this regulation.
