OPEN CALL: 2026 Oxbelly Screenwriters Program

Open call for the Screenwriters program of the 2026 Oxbelly Retreat, a gathering for international writers working in film and literature, to be held July 1 to 9 in Costa Navarino, Greece.

The Screenwriters program, led by filmmaker Radu Jude, supports writer-directors developing their second fiction feature scripts who are seeking to strengthen their craft and push the boundaries of their unique cinematic voice.

Eligible applicants will have one produced fiction feature and will be in the process of developing their second feature. The application can be found through the Oxbelly website, and the deadline to apply is January 14, 2026 at 11:59 PM EET, Athens, Greece.

Kindly note that the program has no cost to apply and all expenses for fellows are covered by Oxbelly.
