GRAIN URBAIN Film Festival

GRAIN URBAIN Festival is an international short film festival open to filmmakers of all ages and backgrounds, whether professional or amateur. Its aim is to showcase films that are in some way related to urban space, as defined in the GRAIN URBAIN Festival Manifesto.
It is created, produced and organized by the artistic association ÉQUIPE CRÉATIVE.
The second GRAIN URBAIN Festival will be held in Paris in the first (1st) quarter of 2026. The exact dates and locations of the public event will be communicated on the festival’s social networks at a later date.

ARTICLE 2: CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION AND SELECTION
2.1. Eligibility
Submissions are accepted for French and international creations produced during the two (2) years preceding the second edition of the festival (during the call for entries period), i.e. from 2023 inclusive, under the conditions defined below:
– Submissions (short films) must be sent exclusively via the FilmFreeway platform, in accordance with the platform’s general terms and conditions (https://filmfreeway.com);
– Short films must relate directly or indirectly to the following themes: the city, urban planning, architecture, infrastructure, industry, demographics, urban sociology;
– Non-French-speaking short films must be subtitled in French;
– Short films must not exceed thirty (30) minutes in length (including credits);
– Only experimental short films (fiction, documentary, creative docu-drama, film/art video essay, musical, animation) are allowed;
– The same director may submit several short films. Only one short film submitted by the
same director will be selected;
– Short films created by a duo or group of directors are permitted;
– The deadline for submissions is November 30, 2025 at 12:00 (Paris – UTC+2);
