Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize 2021

The Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize 2021 will be awarded to artists that show significant potential, interesting ideas, a relevant message and skillful execution. We understand that talented artists exist in many forms, so endeavour to appeal to emerging artists of all ages and career paths, whether student, graduate, full-time or part-time, and from any country.

Ashurst’s aim in sponsoring the Emerging Artist Prize and Emerging Artist Programme is to find, build and support the careers of talented international emerging artists and get their art seen by a wider audience.

Main Entry Details:
(1) There is no restriction on the artist regarding age, training or nationality. You may enter from any country, and can be based in any country.
(2) All types of art are accepted for this competition. 
(3) The artist must not have exclusive representation, to enter this art competition.
(4) Artwork size must be less than 275cm x 275cm x 50cm for artworks to be hung on the wall, and less than 275cm x 275cm x 200cm for sculptures. If you are unsure, please contact us. Image files should ideally by at least 2000 x 2000 pixels in size (we don’t look at dpi) , and the file size should be under 20Mb. 
(5) Once you have completed the online entry form, you will be sent to the payment page to pay the entry fee. Please select the correct payment option and enter your name in the notes.
(6) Entry Fee is £20 for first artwork, then £10 per additional artwork, up to a maximum 5 artworks. You can also pay in US Dollars and Euros too. If you wish to pay in any other currency, please contact us.
(7) To also be considered for the New Media Artist Prize, you must clearly specify details of your medium and submit a still image that represents the artwork, and can submit a WeTransfer link to download the sound or video file, or Vimeo, YouTube or website page.

New Media Award Entry Details
(1) If you are submitting a new media artwork then you need to submit a photo image file that represents it in some way, and you can also share a WeTransfer link to download the multimedia, sound or video file in the artwork commentary section of the form. You can also share a Vimeo link, a YouTube link or other website link to the artwork.
(2) Please outline what AV or display needs you would require and what you intend to supply yourself
(3) Submissions must be considerate of the size and orientation of the gallery space. We are restricted to 275cm x 275cm x 200cm sizes
(4) We are open to work that encompasses moving images, mobile apps, interactive installations, and sound art. If you are unsure of whether your work is eligible please contact us directly on info@artprize.co.uk
