The 22nd Tel Aviv International Student Film Festival

We are delighted to inform you that as part of the Tel-Aviv International Student Film Festival we are launching a Digital Media Competition.

The festival will take place on June 21st – 27th, 2020 in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The Digital Media Competition Wander will be part of the Tel Aviv International Student Film Festival for the third time and will be presenting innovative and immersive experiences of storytelling as a new form of cinema in the 21st century.


The festival is an opportunity for young filmmakers from over 50 countries to present short innovative cinema, participate in gala screenings, masterclasses, conferences and special tributes.

Every year the festival hosts over 70 film students and notable guests of honor such as Marcello Mastroianni, Emir Kusturica, Chantal Akerman, Jacque Audiard, the Dardenne Brothers and many more.

The Digital Media program will focus on Storytelling in the new era and will be seeking to find immersive Digital Media projects on the next platforms: Web / VR / AR / Spherical Video (360)

We are looking for Student Projects that are distinctive. Projects that use an innovative approach to express their stories.
Entry Requirements:
 Submitted projects must be based on a digital platform.
 Submitted projects must be no longer than 30 min.

The Digital Media Exhibition and Competition was founded by students of the Digital Media Program and Lab. The program opened in 2016 at the Steve Tisch School of Film and Television, as a unique 4- year program in Digital Media, leading to a BA and MFA degrees. The program, designed and headed by Professor Nitzan Ben Shaul is aimed at hands-on intensive training enabling creation with and research of new forms of audiovisual digital storytelling.
