Open Call for FeKK – Ljubljana Short Film festival
FeKK – Ljubljana Short Film Festival will once again feature a Balkan-wide competition programme, presenting a selection of films from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania and Serbia in addition to the Slovenian competition programme. The film production of the above-mentioned countries is intertwined with similar conditions and semi-past history and has brought exciting new auteur perspectives to the FeKK programme. The festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, so this edition will be enriched with anniversary celebrations in addition to the regular programme. The festival takes place in the second half of August in Ljubljana and offers an unmissable festival atmosphere with an extensive selection of short films from current domestic and foreign productions. We warmly invite you to submit your short films and contribute to this landmark edition of the largest international short film festival in Slovenia.
Along with the two competition programmes, the festival includes curated retrospectives, thematic and historical programmes, guest festivals, industry events, workshops, panel discussions, masterclasses, live music acts and more. FeKK takes place in the centre of Ljubljana, with venues such as the Cinema of the Slovenian Cinematheque and its open-air cinema in the Metelkova museum district, Kinodvor – City Cinema and other, underground and alternative venues. The festival will take place between August 19 and 24, 2024.
