The Poitiers Film Festival is a place to discover young filmmakers and accompany their work. Thanks to its specificity, school films, it reveals emerging talents and serves as a springboard to the young creation.Its International Selection is known worldwide for its high quality and standards as well as its diversity. Films compete for about ten awards and capture the attention of professionals, who see the festival as a prime spot for scouting new voices in cinema.
Short films eligible for submission:Fiction, documentary or animationUnder 60 minutesDirectedby film students since January 2025French films compete both for the International Selection and the competitive So French! program. Shorts may also be considered for screenings aimed at young and student audiences.
The 49th edition of the festival will take place from November 27 to December 4 2026, in Poitiers. Results will be announced in October 2026.
