IX EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL BETA PUBLICA SHOWCASE

Open call for contemporary and experimental choreographers to be part of the International BETA PUBLICA Showcase – Cultural Center Paco Rabal and Teatros del Canal, Madrid, Spain.

June 4th and 5th 2022. June 11th and 12th 2022. Two weekends

In the IX EDITION of International BETA PUBLICA Showcase we continue to seek that the public, choreographers, dancers, cultural programmers, media, producers, and other participants are – physically and virtually – present in the creative processes of the selected pieces giving rise to new reflections and bringing together points of view that contribute to enriching the creative process.
This year we are adding a new venue as the BETA PUBLICA Showcase has been selected to be part of the 37º “Madrid en Danza” Festival. So, this IX Edition will run for 2 weekends in different venues. Every weekend we will showcase around 6 selected creators for a total of 12 creators. Every creator will perform Saturday and Sunday of the assigned weekend. Creators must be available both weekends and the Organization will decide when to showcase the selected choreography.
This year we maintain the economic contributions to the selected creators and the travel aids, for those who are from outside Madrid.

Costs for participants: No cost for participants. We assign a small stipend + travel aid to the selected choreographers
