DART Studios is searching for motivated and ambitious dancers who are looking to expand their knowledge and break through their artistic boundaries in an intensive training course over a 10 month period.

DART STUDIOS is the largest and most cutting-edge dance space, where dancers take part in training where creations are held by some of Europe’s most sought after instructors and choreographers. Designed for dancers of pre-professional and professional level training alongside the DART Dance Company. The DART Studios Profitraining Intensive will expand all aspects of a dancers knowledge base assisted by weekly alternating teachers thus immersing dancers entirely in every style and technique with a variety of teachers.

In addition to the intensive daily training, dancers will take part in performances gaining much sought after and necessary stage experience. The program also provides dancers with internships with several famous European companies and other opportunities. Beside all these benefits DART Studios works as an audition hub; hence participants will have options to secure either project work or company contracts which is the primary goal of DART Studios.

How to apply:
ONLINE AUDITION PROCESS:
– Please send your CV
– Full body pictures
– Improvisation video (no longer than 5 minutes) uploaded to YouTube WITHOUT PASSWORD
– Ballet video (no longer than 15 minutes): 6 short centre exercises consisting of pirouettes, petit allegro and grand allegro, uploaded to YouTube WITHOUT PASSWORD
– Motivation letter

The DART team shall then make a pre-selection based on the material which you have sent via the online application.

APPLICANTS WILL BE EMAILED OUR REPLY IF THEY are successful and we are able to offer them a spot in the programme within 10 days with all the necessary and detailed next steps.

Costs for participants: The video audition itself is free.

From this etymology springs the ABI

ARE residency proposal, a 15-day program that hosts young authors, offering them financial support, accommodation, and a unique space to shape their artistic proposal.
For the year 2024, the project will support up to two creative residencies for artists who submit a site-specific performance project capable of combining, from a multidisciplinary perspective, the language of contemporary dance with at least one other artistic discipline (e.g., physical theater, contemporary circus, live music, etc.).

Each selected project will be developed through one creative residency

Financial support ranging from €1500 to €3000

Both will take place in Andria from July 1 to 15, 2024, at:
-Former Municipal Slaughterhouse
-“Giuseppe Ceci” Municipal Library

Eligible to apply:
-Legally recognized companies
-Individual authors

The selected artists will present their performance during the International Festival Castel dei Mondi (September 2024) and in the program of the National Production Center Porta D’Oriente/Resextensa.

ABITARE is a project conceived by Equilibrio Dinamico and realized with the support of the Municipality of Andria, Department of Beauty / Culture / Cultural Heritage / Art / Sport, Teatro Pubblico Pugliese, Festival Castel dei Mondi, and AREA Mediterranea – Artisti nei Territori curated by ResExtensa | Porta d’Oriente – National Dance Production Center.
